As you probably know by now, I am a Young Brother of faith. I ask GOD to give me direction daily. As I read the BIBLE this morning, I came across a scripture that GIVE ME CHILLS. This pertains to unarmed Black Males who have been turned into hashtags. This scripture is in the BIBLE; written hundreds of years ago. It speaks to injustice and people who instead of trying to ask what happen? Throw dirt on the decreased name. RIP Walter Scott and Trayvon Martin


The Scripture is Psalm 64: 1- 6; 10

Psalm 64[a]

For the director of music. A psalm of David.

1 Hear me, my God, as I voice my complaint;
    protect my life from the threat of the enemy.
2 Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked,
    from the plots of evildoers.
3 They sharpen their tongues like swords
    and aim cruel words like deadly arrows.
4 They shoot from ambush at the innocent;
    they shoot suddenly, without fear.
5 They encourage each other in evil plans,
    they talk about hiding their snares;
    they say, “Who will see it[b]?”
6 They plot injustice and say,
    “We have devised a perfect plan!”
    Surely the human mind and heart are cunning.


10 The righteous will rejoice in the Lord
    and take refuge in him;
    all the upright in heart will glory in him!

Short Story of the Fatherless Black Male

I wrote this in the backseat of a car during a road trip. This post may have a couple of grammar errors and a couple of different ideas. But, this is how I truly felt. Let's get into it. I can't sugar-coat it or make it seem insignificant. Point blank, being a young black male without a father sucks. It worse than the stench of rotten eggs, and it feels worse than being hit by a truck at high speed. Being a fatherless male is like having half of your self taken away at birth. Being a father black male means going through life without a round-the-clock mentor, a disciplinary, a friend, a dad. I mean having a mom is a blessing within itself. Most fatherless males usually have a mom. However, if it took two to create, then it is best to take two to mold and build.
