We been fighting, screaming, pushing, crying for change to come. However, it seems like everytime I cut-on my phone, laptop, or TV; I hear about another unarmed Black male (usually at a very early age) being killed. Young and vibrate lives of color being taken away. The part that makes me even sadder and angry is the fact that this brothers don't have to be killed. I may make y'all look at me funny, but I'm pass the outraged (how could they do this?) Stage; I am at a point where I'm like what is it going to take to get CHANGE. Talk is cheap and as more of my Young Brothers are being killed I see just how useless doing nothing can be (If that makes sense). Again, I ask myself what can be done to change things. Unfortunately, I have no sure-fire action that will stop everything once-and-for-all (for their will always be someone who crosses the line); however, I do have a idea of what WE CAN DO in our own communities. Therefore, here are my five ideas that I will introduce. First, I will introduce them now and later with more research I will do more TOP FIVES..

1. BUY BLACK- There is only one other color that fascinates and drives racist, the system, the world crazy. That color is GREEN. Like the Wu Tang Clan and Drake "Pound Cake." CASH RULES EVERYTHING AROUND THEM. Therefore, lets hurt the man where it hurts the must in this wallet. Lets keep our money amongst ourselves, and keep it that way. Even if they do put "Black" athletes (Paid Endorsers) on their. Even if the MAN'S products or things are a little cheaper; lets buy from each other. If we can spend $200 on SNEAKER AND TENNIS SHOES (which are owned by Major Companies who probably have no people of color in Major Positions). Therefore, we can spend $10 extra dollars on products made by our Brothers and Sisters.

2. LETS GET ORGANIZED- Nothing is more scarier to someone than a group of people (all who are willing to fight for something). Since the beginning of time, it has showed the group that has been the most well equipped has won the wars (The Union in the Civil War, The Allies in World War II, and DR. Martin Luther King Jr./Malcolm X/ NAACP in the Civil Rights movement. Therefore, lets get organized; we have one common obstacle so lets work as a team. Not separate groups over here and another over their; let do a mass movement. Lets do a FIVE MILLION MAN MARCH.

3. WE GOT TO LOVE EACH OTHER- United We Stand, But Divided We Fall. At this point in life with our Brothers being killed on a daily, we got to stick together. I don't care what you say we must come together. Even if that means going against your "Earthly" and Human urges. As you see we are being attacked and discriminate against, so why are we hating each other. You would think because there is open season against our Brothers that we would be more united. But we may be just as divided as we were before open season (THE START OF ENSLAVEMENT: DURING WHICH SLAVE-TRADERS STARTED FILLING UP SHIPS). We have been against each other since the beginning of time. How do you think the Euro's capture us so easy; not because we were dumb or weak. But because other African-Tribes sold each other out.

We must stop this, starting today we must STOP: 1. Treating our WOMEN Disrespectfully, 2. Falling into the trap of hating each other (jealousy, strive, and anger towards each other), 3. We must stop supporting anything that does not support us. I heard about horror stories of Brothers being killed for stepping on other Brothers shoes or Being killed for a leather jacket (Look up KEVIN MOODY 1988). Lets stop fighting each other and fight oppression.

4. EDUCATION- We as African-Americans are poorly represented in critical as well as vital areas of the "SYSTEM." There is not enough of us in the COURTROOM, CLASSROOM, OR JUDICAL SYSTEM (Police, Judges, and Defense Attroneys). I am not saying that we would not uphold the law if WE were in charge. However, like always I sit in bed at night and just think. One of the thoughts that has crossed my head is IF WE WERE IN CHARGE MORE, WOULD THE NUMBER OF UNARMED BALCK MEN DYING BE THIS HIGH? HONESTLY, I THINK NOT. Therefore My Brothers, we need to get education and combat some of the systemic racism or discrimination as well as Systemic misjudgment on the part of others. The only time that many people of authority come across people of color is during their jobs (MIX THAT WITH RACISM) and you get disaster . Therefore, if there were more of US in local, state, and diverse roles in America I believe we as Young Brothers would feel safer and police officer & citizens relationships would skyrocket. For  example the city I live in. The Police reflect the community and I haven't heard about a Unarmed Black Male Being Shot since. Not even a Police Involved Shooting.

5. VOTE- This is one of the most important actions; I can not stress and talk about this one enough. If you are not old enough to vote; please get your family to vote. We have to change this system and the people in it. If we can get people who have our best interest in mind in local as well as State roles then we can make some dramatic changes. Laws could be revised, streets safer, and more diversity in our communities.

In closing, RIP to Freddie Gray.

RIP Mr. Dick Gregory

Mr. Dick Gregory was much more than a comedian. To simply say he was a comedian would almost water-down his greatness. The greatness in which he used a comedic style to educate those of various generations and philosophies. Mr. Dick Gregory was a man of intelligence, sophistication, and humor. Mr. Gregory was a truth seeker and one whom understood that a man must always investigate the conspiracy as well as facts written in the open to truly get a possible understanding of this cryptic world. Baba Gregory understood the importance of health and taking care of one's body. He understand the importance of a healthy spiritual life, and having a true connection with the one true universal GOD. And, the importance of being aware of our ancestors whom came before we all did. Furthermore, Mr. Gregory understood the importance of mental awareness, and the idea to continue to read and learn throughout the journey of life. Mr. Gregory activism and platform is beyond great, and very ...

FASFA

I try to explore different topics and ideas to discuss/share on the blog. While going through some papers and looking through some stuff, I remember that I forget to write about this topic. Therefore, today we are going to talk about FASFA. First, you may ask, "What is FASFA." FASFA is federal aid or money for going to college. Although they said "federal aid", it is basically tax that is set aside for students who want to go to college, but need money to help pay for college. FASFA is available to students who have need and are looking to attend college (certificate program, associate degree, or 4 year degree). You need to fill out FASFA every year. FASFA should be filled out by any and every student. It is something that will without a doubt helpful in paying for school. A simple summary is basically this: (1) Wait until you or parents file Income Tax (2) Go to this website- https://fafsa.ed.gov/ (3) Create a account (4) Fill out all of the informat...

Short Story of the Fatherless Black Male

I wrote this in the backseat of a car during a road trip. This post may have a couple of grammar errors and a couple of different ideas. But, this is how I truly felt. Let's get into it. I can't sugar-coat it or make it seem insignificant. Point blank, being a young black male without a father sucks. It worse than the stench of rotten eggs, and it feels worse than being hit by a truck at high speed. Being a fatherless male is like having half of your self taken away at birth. Being a father black male means going through life without a round-the-clock mentor, a disciplinary, a friend, a dad. I mean having a mom is a blessing within itself. Most fatherless males usually have a mom. However, if it took two to create, then it is best to take two to mold and build. And, let's be honest, it's some questions no dude feels comfortable or feels right asking their mom. That is just one of the reason why not having a father sucks. At the very least, it is a inconvenien...
