"How to overcome Fear and Doubt"

On yesterday's posting I talked about fear, doubt, and other negative emotions. Therefore, in today posting (part II) I want to show you how to fight and eventually overcome Fear and Doubt. So, here are my top tips for how to defeat negative emotions once and for all.

1. Find God- This is my number one tip. If you don't know who GOD is then in my opinion you will have no eternal peace. You may have SOME courage or SOME happiness, but nothing will last. Something will happen and you will break-down or be broken-down. Therefore, find GOD. In the BIBLE, (Matthew 6:47-49) it says something like 47"Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them, I will show you whom he is like: 48he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock; and when a flood occurred, the flood burst against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. 49"But the one who has heard and has not acted accordingly, is like a man who built a house on the ground without any foundation; and the flood burst against it and immediately it collapsed, and the destruction of that house was great."

2. Admit your fear and/or doubts- In the process of recovering, the first step usually is admitting your flaws and being open about them. Admitting your fears can help determine what plan of action to take and this way you can spiritually get guidance from first GOD, then family, and other resources about your fears.

3. Share your fears and thoughts with someone that you can trust- Parents, siblings, or a long-time best friend all can be a person that you can talk to. However, pick wisely because not everyone has your best interest in mind. However, finding someone to talk to can be good. You may not even feel comfortable talking about your personal situation. Therefore, another way is you can talk to others about their past affiliations and how they handle them. This may give you some insight into other ways to handle problems (disclaimers: not all advice is good, so be critical of who you choose and get only what you can out of the advice).

4. Make a decision- advancedlifeskills.com says make a decision. Once you define your dream or goal, decide that you want to live this kind of happy and satisfied life. This may seem basic but many people never decide and commit fully to their dream. They simply keep “thinking” about it. Or, when the first obstacle appears and they give up. Make a commitment to yourself. Right now is not the time to worry about how to make it happen, or how you are going to move through your challenges. Instead, plant the seed of your dream inside of you and you commit to loving this seed until the day you can harvest the fruits of your efforts.

Honor your commitment to self. No one can let you down more than you can. Make a commitment about what you want and stand strong in your commitment. Don’t let fear get in your way. No matter how challenging, how fearful, or overwhelming it may seem, decide you are going for it!  Why? For no other reason than because you want it. There are no should’s, have to’s, or weak choices. This is something you want for yourself and a choice you have made.

I also want to add that once you decided to be against fear and doubt. Once you have decided to not let fear be the leader of your life; keep that commitment. BUT HOW! You may asked? By being spiritually and mentally strong.

5. Positive Thinking- This is super critical in my opinion. When you think and dream positive things, positive things will happen. Never think negatively. So, always practice positive thinking and watch how your mindset and life dramatically change. For more read the book "The Power of Positive Thinking."

6. Be around positive people- Good and positive vibes go along way. Like how I always say, be around the "Right Group" of people. While, this does not only apply to staying out of trouble. It also means being around people who are positive. This makes life better, because their positivity will rub off on you and you all's surrounding. Miserable people makes life miserable, and rather you believe me or not; it will eventually make you miserable.

7. Find inner peace- Rather it means coming to truthful realization, healing old wounds, mediation, or finding a Church home. Find inner peace with life. Know that you are more than qualified to confidently "Do You." You are a intelligent and strong Brown Man; Let No One Ever (not even Yourself )Tell You Different.

In closing, Fear and Doubt will always try to shake you. But don't let it. Be like that house built on the ROCK, that can not be shaken during the storm.

RIP Mr. Dick Gregory

Mr. Dick Gregory was much more than a comedian. To simply say he was a comedian would almost water-down his greatness. The greatness in which he used a comedic style to educate those of various generations and philosophies. Mr. Dick Gregory was a man of intelligence, sophistication, and humor. Mr. Gregory was a truth seeker and one whom understood that a man must always investigate the conspiracy as well as facts written in the open to truly get a possible understanding of this cryptic world. Baba Gregory understood the importance of health and taking care of one's body. He understand the importance of a healthy spiritual life, and having a true connection with the one true universal GOD. And, the importance of being aware of our ancestors whom came before we all did. Furthermore, Mr. Gregory understood the importance of mental awareness, and the idea to continue to read and learn throughout the journey of life. RIP Muhammad Ali (The Greatest)

As you have heard the sad news by now, the great Muhammad Ali has passed on. He was laid to rest yesterday. When I say passed on, he has moved on to another journey. To another place to inspire, love, encourage, and communicate without bounds or limits. Mr. Ali is free yet again. I don't have to say what Mr. Ali meant to me. Just from past articles, tweets, and videos, you guys already know what he meant to me. He was a inspiration, hero, mentor, and someone to look up to and listen; learning and hanging on to has every word. Even if those words were 50 years old, they still hold relevance to this very day. I am keeping this post short, because no true words can describe what he meant to me, to all of us. However, I will end this post like this. Heroes are remembered, but legends never die. Therefore, he was the greatest legend ALL-TIME. And, he will live on as long as WE as a PEOPLE are still ALIVE!!!!! Rest Easy Champ!!!!!!!
"#TheFlagMustGo" Growing up, I have seen the Confederate flag so many times I could not count. As, a Young age I knew the Flag was wrong. Then, as I got older I was about to study the origins as well as the very people who created, represented, and coveted the flag; I truly had my answer: The Flag Must Go. Before, I give my opinion; I am going to give y'all unmistakable and unarguable facts. In 1861, politician William Porcher Miles designed the flag. As I studied the very man who created the "confederacy flag." I wanted to understand his doctrine and beliefs. I wanted to see what he wanted to create, pass-down, and strength who's cau...
