Black History Month

Today is the first day of Black History Month. Therefore, I wanted to just take a few moment and highlight this month. Although I try to celebrate Black History Month everyday, this month is very special. We as people have to connect the dots for ur generation and the generation of the next.

See when thinking about history, we must not think about old fossil like people or movements of the past. No, what we must think about is history as the ladder that has helped us climb to the positions we are right now. That is not much, don't get me wrong. Black Men are still being killed on camera and broad day-light and nothing is happening.

However, with certain people of the past, we have the access to change many of our positions. Martin Luther King did not die because of his dream. He was killed when he wake up and saw the nightmare that we all live in.

Second, The Great Malcolm X was killed because he saw the world from a urgent prospective. He knew that life would continue the way it has if everyone played safe. If everyone stayed at home, played blind, and acted like injustice was not happening.

Therefore, we must again, not like at Black History as ancient history. Almost everything that our descendants went through, we go through now. Black History Month is a month to reflect on the past, but also make plans as well as take action for the future.

I try to explore different topics and ideas to discuss/share on the blog. While going through some papers and looking through some stuff, I remember that I forget to write about this topic. Short Story of the Fatherless Black Male

I wrote this in the backseat of a car during a road trip. This post may have a couple of grammar errors and a couple of different ideas. But, this is how I truly felt. Let's get into it. I can't sugar-coat it or make it seem insignificant. Point blank, being a young black male without a father sucks. It worse than the stench of rotten eggs, and it feels worse than being hit by a truck at high speed. Being a fatherless male is like having half of your self taken away at birth. Being a father black male means going through life without a round-the-clock mentor, a disciplinary, a friend, a dad. I mean having a mom is a blessing within itself. Most fatherless males usually have a mom. However, if it took two to create, then it is best to take two to mold and build.
