How To Celebrate Black History Everyday

I usually also make so kind of Black History Special. Further, I always have like so Black History facts everyday. However, although I might start on the Black History facts, I have deeply changed in my beliefs. We have discussed this over and over again. I feel that I have changed in mind and spirit. Therefore, instead of the usual hallmark greeting card type posting, I wanted to show you something different.

As you know, Black History Month is a one month holiday given to us by the same leaders that killed our leaders. The same that enslaved our ancestors, and put drugs in our communities. And, the to add insult to deep unhealable injury, they gave us the shortest month of the year as a holiday.

Therefore, like Columbus Day and Thanksgiving, I don't celebrate the selected day. I celebrate the souls, the movements, the marching shoes, and organizers that have given us the chance to have a lot bit more opportunity than they had.

Therefore, like I said instead of giving a list of inventions and historical facts, I thought I would show y'all 3 way on how to celebrate Black History Month everyday.

1. Buy Black -

See celebrating Black History is not buying a dashiki or going to a festival. It's not watching the depressing Color Purple for the 100th time. It's not tweeting a hashtag. Black History Month is a time to respect those of the past. However, the main point of Black History is to plan to push for the future. To seize the future, with the benefits givens to us by the sacrifices of those of the past.

Therefore, one of the best way to celebrate our history is to build a better future. How to build a better future you ask?

By strength the black community. By strength the black dollar and building up the black economy. Just from buying black, you are closing the wealth gap and upgrading the social-economic status of black people. We have over a one trillion dollar buying power, but none of it goes to black people.

We are not making it other rich. We are just creating to maintaining poverty in our own communities and that is foolish beyond belief. Therefore, we must buy black, this is the only way to ensure the success of us as a people. There would be no Black History to talk about if our ancestors did not succeed at some of the things they worked for during their lifetime (meaning inventions, leadership, and much more). Think about that last statement for a minute before you move on to the next one.

2. Rebuild the structure of the Black Family-

We as black people has not fallen off, we have been pushed off. The music, the drugs, the pain, the single-parent households, the hurts has been poured on us. We are now at a all-time battle to just try to stay straight in a crooked world. I believe it was J. Cole that said "Look at the nation, that is a crooked smile, braces could not even straighten." In other words, this world is corrupted beyond belief.

However, as black people the only thing that has kept us alive and fighting is family. See, the powers that be see the black man and the black woman as their biggest threat. When the black man and woman are united, their is nothing in the world that can stop us.

Therefore, they seek to destroy the black child by creating a childhood and life-time development of hardship, hatred, poverty, and devastation. By keeping the Black Man caged and the Black Woman stressed, they are dividing and conquering more than ever.

That is why we must stick together. Rebuilding the black family structure is the only way to strive forward. That is why I am such a huge advocate of black love, black unity, power, and peace. Rebuilding the black family and black love is a mission that I try to push daily. Showing respect to my sisters and being a gentleman. Second, it is empowering the black extended family. I want y'all to read a book created "Black Man Emerging by: Dr. White. " This books shows the importance of the black extended family.

We must love each other more than ever. We are not our brother's enemy, but our brother's keeps. The nod is great, but what happens we even that becomes impersonal. When we don't take the time to mentor the young or motivate each other. When we don't say "my brother." These things can't die. However, speaking as a young brother, I see these things dying as the older generations pass.

The old African Proverbs says "It takes a village to raise a child."
Frederick Douglass said "It is better to raise a child, then a broken man."
K. Michelle says "She can't raise a man."

Therefore, it is our job as Black Men who are more aware to rebuild and heal the black family structure. With this, we can only be great.

United we stand, divided we fall.

3. Never Let The Culture Die -

Your body and your mind are like your muscles. If you don't you them, they will slowly diminish and die. Therefore, why are we doing nothing all year long, but one month we are rushing to create something that needs constant attention.

Let me give a better example. Why, let Hollywood white our history? Let books call African slaves (our ancestors) immigrant agricultural workers? Why let black be seen as a bad thing? Why let a child out their be ashamed of being this color, because the schools teach him the opposite of above. That he is a descendant of servants, when in fact he is a descendant of KINGS & QUEENS.

Oh, wait that is not a example, that is the real thing. See, the biggest injustice that we can do to our ancestors is let what they build for us be ruined. By not being connected to our roots, we are letting them die. We are letting outsiders cut the roots of our family tree. When you cut the roots of the tree of life, it becomes the tree of death.

Everyday that we get up and don't spread our culture, we are dying. Everyday that we let kids hate their future, but let them fell in love with Western ideas of beauty, we are letting our culture die. When we began to have a skin color preference, we are letting our culture die. When we continue to be known as our slave master's last name, we let our culture die. When began to see ourselves as just Americans, and not Africans, we are letting our culture die.

We are not just one month, but all the months of the year. We are the original people and the melanin of the universe. We are the rhyme in the drums and the rhyme of our heartbeats. We are the melody in the morning and the comfort of the nature. We are GOD's creations. We are our cultures.

If we began to let someone or even ourselves put a cap on what we are, then we ourselves are died spiritually. We have to teach the next generation and those with their eyes closed that we are Africa. That we are the best bet we got. We have each other. We have what makes us special. We ourselves. Our drums, our hair, our noses, our upbringing, our style, and our heritage. We must teach culture. We must teach the rich soil and the deep roots. We must teach that Africa is not just a place on the map. Or that traditional dress is not weird, but something that should be celebrated. That is what Black History is. That is what we are celebrating. The continuous excellent put forth by us as a people. And, that needs to be honored and respect on a daily basis.

RIP Muhammad Ali (The Greatest)

As you have heard the sad news by now, the great Muhammad Ali has passed on. He was laid to rest yesterday. When I say passed on, he has moved on to another journey. To another place to inspire, love, encourage, and communicate without bounds or limits. Mr. Ali is free yet again. I don't have to say what Mr. Ali meant to me. Just from past articles, tweets, and videos, you guys already know what he meant to me. He was a inspiration, hero, mentor, and someone to look up to and listen; learning and hanging on to has every word. Even if those words were 50 years old, they still hold relevance to this very day. I am keeping this post short, because no true words can describe what he meant to me, to all of us. However, I will end this post like this. Heroes are remembered, but legends never die. Therefore, he was the greatest legend ALL-TIME. And, he will live on as long as WE as a PEOPLE are still ALIVE!!!!! Rest Easy Champ!!!!!!!

RIP Mr. Dick Gregory

Mr. Dick Gregory was much more than a comedian. To simply say he was a comedian would almost water-down his greatness. The greatness in which he used a comedic style to educate those of various generations and philosophies. Mr. Dick Gregory was a man of intelligence, sophistication, and humor. Mr. Gregory was a truth seeker and one whom understood that a man must always investigate the conspiracy as well as facts written in the open to truly get a possible understanding of this cryptic world. Baba Gregory understood the importance of health and taking care of one's body. He understand the importance of a healthy spiritual life, and having a true connection with the one true universal GOD. And, the importance of being aware of our ancestors whom came before we all did. Furthermore, Mr. Gregory understood the importance of mental awareness, and the idea to continue to read and learn throughout the journey of life. Mr. Gregory activism and platform is beyond great, and very ...
"#TheFlagMustGo" Growing up, I have seen the Confederate flag so many times I could not count. As, a Young age I knew the Flag was wrong. Then, as I got older I was about to study the origins as well as the very people who created, represented, and coveted the flag; I truly had my answer: The Flag Must Go. Before, I give my opinion; I am going to give y'all unmistakable and unarguable facts. In 1861, politician William Porcher Miles designed the flag. As I studied the very man who created the "confederacy flag." I wanted to understand his doctrine and beliefs. I wanted to see what he wanted to create, pass-down, and strength who's cau...
