"Politics Are Beginners: Breaking Down The Basics for Young Brothers"

With all these political words and statements being thrown around. With all these "political parties" and "affiliations" it can be hard to understand all this mess. Everyone wants to start at the top and confuse folks with big words. However, I wanted to breakdown politics and the meaning behind the words. As a first time or new coming voter, many of y'all may just do what your parents do. In contrast, you may walk to the beat of your own drum. However, I want to answer simple questions and help you understand the root of things.

Therefore, in this series I will answer: What is a democrat? What is a republican? What is a campaign, election, and other truly important stuff that get swapped under the rug.

Therefore, in part 1 we will discuss " What is democrat? "

To first understand "Democrats" I must first say that democrats have always been for the people. No matter the cause. Rather "Dixie-Crats", "Civil Rights", or Unions; democrats have always held the majority opinion.

And, basically the majority opinion equals the majority's vote.
Now, I am not here to sway you one way or another. However, I am tired of people not knowing the truth.

Anyway, Democrats have always held the people's opinion. I mean to fully understand democrats; let's look at the root/origin word.

The word "Demos" is a Greek word meaning
"For the Common People or the Populace."

Did you get that?

Demos means for the "people."

Now lets look at the word "crat" which shares it's root meaning with words "cracy."

Now, put the two together and you get: Democracy

Democracy means: A System of government by the whole population usually lead by elected officials.

Do you hear the words that stick out: Populace, common, people.
That's why it shares and says demos.

The "Demos" are the people's party. The democrats have always been for the people.

That's why democrats are so popular amongst: Youth, "minorities", women, and lower income families. It is because, the democrats have always been or positioned themselves to be for the people. Peek this right here. Five examples.

1. People seek democrats because they favor most laws to benefit the poor or middle class. This is true because, "The 1% own just as much as the 99%." Ninety-nine percent of this country only amounts to 1% of another group. Therefore, the popular/populace equal democrats. The democrats are for "the people (in most cases)."

2. Civil Rights: As time & society progressed "political correctness" was in the air. Sensitivity and social behavior toward others become a emphasis for America to show other countries we were the best (Although we know this is a lie, racism in 2015 is just as alive as it was during post-slavery times). Anyway: America is America. We always had to try to lead and be looked upon as innovators or the most diverse (Keyword: Malcolm X wanted to bring charges against U.S to the U.N). Basically, America couldn't lead in peace treaties and etc .without "Civil Rights" Protection for the "oppressed." So the Civil Rights Act was passed.

Further, Black People could not be held down any longer. The one color that people love more than their own is "GREEN." In later society, with the tiniest of resources: Black People and People of Color were producing greatness. From Scientist, to great Inventors, and Great Athletes. The masses and the "majority" had to change their opinions. For they saw that we were becoming a great force.

Therefore, democrats changed their beliefs "in most cases" to not serve, but more likely build off of the backs (once again) of "new masses." Believe me, the system knows everything before we do. Can't no one tell me that they didn't see 2050 coming. For in 2050 maybe sooner (some studies say 2020), there will be a 2:1 ratio in favor of people of color (Black & Hispanic). Even right now if you include: Women, Youth, People, and first generation immigrants (of non-Hispanic or African Descend) you have "not a minority in America", but the "MAJORITY" of America.

3. Dixie-Crats: Now, even as much as I like the democratic and independent parties; even I have to admit that not all "Democrats" preached/practice diversity.
Back in the day, when the majority of America was White & Male; the democratic party again was for the "populace/popular." In the 1930-1960 you had the "Dixie-Crats" which consists of Southern White residents and politicians that championed as well as believed in: Segregation, discriminative practices (hiring, firing, work-force, not giving minority voting/legal/innocent until proven guilty rights).

Basically, Dixie-Crats saw minorities as inferior, criminals, and pests that needed to be exterminated. Therefore, because of this believe; the majority of Democrats of the south held the people's/ the common's opinion no matter how evil it was (not against their will though, the politicians of this time felt the same way as the people).

4. Immigration: Most Democrats believe in immigrants having access to America. In maybe different ways, but the majority of democrats want: Immigration reform, a legal path to citizenship, or something of that nature. Now, their are some good politicians (few, but some). However, the reason why they go into this party is because of beliefs no matter if they are fostered, natured, natural, or instilled. Democrats know that Latino People will be the majority or maybe are already the majority of America(s) if you combine South & North America.

5. Lyndon B. Johnson: The Democratic President was voted into office, because the majority saw him as the least racist (the lesser of the two evil to say). Further, Lyndon B. Johnson didn't want to sign the Civil Rights Act; however he signed it because it was best for the "majority" (as well as the rich, I guess basically everyone in America)to succeed (majority meaning the country as a whole).

Therefore, because of this: Democrats are for the "populace" aka the majority of the "population." The democratic party has been around since 1928 . And, their leaders have always usually held the people opinion, race, or heritage.

As you can see, the Democrats are the people's party. From Andrew Jackson's trail of tears (America stealing this country from Native Americans and the cruel "relation" of Native Americans because the majority of America at that time (heck as always hated people of color), to Lyndon B. Johnson (reluctantly signing the civil rights Act), to President Obama (The first person of "true color" to be president: Half White/Half Black) He is a living definition of Diversity.

In closing, without getting too far into parties and hitting the top (which I'm trying not to do). This is politics for beginners. However, I hope I did help you understand something that you may have not known.

FASFA

I try to explore different topics and ideas to discuss/share on the blog. While going through some papers and looking through some stuff, I remember that I forget to write about this topic. Therefore, today we are going to talk about FASFA. First, you may ask, "What is FASFA." FASFA is federal aid or money for going to college. Although they said "federal aid", it is basically tax that is set aside for students who want to go to college, but need money to help pay for college. FASFA is available to students who have need and are looking to attend college (certificate program, associate degree, or 4 year degree). You need to fill out FASFA every year. FASFA should be filled out by any and every student. It is something that will without a doubt helpful in paying for school. A simple summary is basically this: (1) Wait until you or parents file Income Tax (2) Go to this website- https://fafsa.ed.gov/ (3) Create a account (4) Fill out all of the informat...
Hi, my Brothers; I have not posted anything in a couple of days. I was going to write about something different today. However, I saw this video and I had to share it. The anger and outrage I have can not be calculated because this video is too outrageous to believe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJhIN0gUN30 The video link above will direct you to Youtube. Where it shows a video of four Young Brothers being harassed and thrown out of Walmart. It further shows one of the Young Brothers being arrested. They were not harassed and then arrested for Robbery or Theft; but for "JUST HANGING OUT AND SHOPPING TOO SLOW." Yes you heard me, for going to slow in the store. Now this I can't believe. Maybe something else will come out and show otherwise. However, if this was the Young Brothers only "behavior"; then this arrest and event is truly hard to believe. For anyone who has ever grown up in any city in the world, you know summer are boring. Now, ...
