" Stephon Marbury, Michael Jordan, and Shoes "

If you haven't been on Twitter, then you probably have not seen the news. Former NBA All-Star Stephon Marbury is releasing his tennis shoes again. Stephon Marbury shoes are shoes that are affordable and were popular in the former Steve & Barry stores. During the announcement of the release, Stephon Marbury was in a discussion with a twitter fan. What followed was something magical.

Stephon Marbury said something that I and many others have been saying for years.

The Jordan's craze is top much. Paying $200 for sneakers is crazy and the "incidents" that have been happening are sad. Teens killed, robbery, and the imprisonment of more black males are just a few of the awful  things that have happened.

I have came on here and on other media channels, constantly preaching against buying "$200-$300" dollar shoes. The story is sad within itself about what has happened. Further, Jordan has been making millions off of single mothers, peer pressured teens, and the oppressed system that has aided him with propaganda.

In addition, if you look at the structure of society, it has always formed around who/what is hot. Further, those who followed the trend or "look apart" are left alone and not "tried". While, those who can't keep up are left behind and bullied/hassled for not looking apart.

If this is not true in our communities than what is?

Further, like Brother Malcolm said, "Who taught you to hate yourself."

I pose the question, "Who are the creators of Propaganda."

I going to tell you something that you need to wake up and see. The oppressor made the term "What are THOSE."

Do you really think that a phrase like this would blow up without help from the outside. Second, again with Jordan's being king in our culture and community, people are straight desperate for Jordan's.  Single mothers are pressured/burdened, kids are bullied, and like I stated at the top, Brothers are killed for Jordan's. As a result, of this two brothers lives are ruined. The decreased and the one going on the "slave ship."

I believe it was Hill Harper who said, "Don't be a slave of the New."

Now back to the discussion of the Jordan's, here are Stephon Marbury words (which I agree with 100%).

"Jordan has been robbing the hood since. Kids dying for shoes and the only face this dude makes is I don't care. The time will change! I hate when kids cry because they can't get this dude shoes because they can't afford to buy them. It's hard on moms. Home boy your paying 200 for Jordan's and they make them for 5 dollars. The shoes are made in China in the same places. Stay calm we coming!  "
 - Stephon Marbury

Did you hear that, your wearing (Jordans) five dollar tennis shoes. We out here getting blasted for five dollars.  I'm not attacking Jordan, his is a smart business person. All I saying is "Be your own Man." We out here going crazy over Sneakers, this is crazy. $5 dollars has no zero behind it.

What's the price for a black man life?
I check the toe tag, not one zero in sight
I turn the TV on, not one hero in sight
Unless he dribble or he fiddle with mics. - J. Cole "January 28th"

In closing, I'm not saying anyone is a bad person for spending a little on yourself. However, I'm saying that when a brand or thing is controlling and running your life: Your In Trouble!

Further, when we are killing each other for something or someone who literally cares nothing about Us, then we are in a awful state. Therefore, do what you want. But, go look at Stephon Marbury tweets. Go look at our young sixteen year old Brother from Ohio who died. Just look at where our priorities are period. And, if they are anywhere around a $200 sneaker, then change your priorities immediately.

Just trying to make the next generation better than ours.

RIP Muhammad Ali (The Greatest)

As you have heard the sad news by now, the great Muhammad Ali has passed on. He was laid to rest yesterday. When I say passed on, he has moved on to another journey. To another place to inspire, love, encourage, and communicate without bounds or limits. Mr. Ali is free yet again. I don't have to say what Mr. Ali meant to me. Just from past articles, tweets, and videos, you guys already know what he meant to me. He was a inspiration, hero, mentor, and someone to look up to and listen; learning and hanging on to has every word. Even if those words were 50 years old, they still hold relevance to this very day. I am keeping this post short, because no true words can describe what he meant to me, to all of us. However, I will end this post like this. Heroes are remembered, but legends never die. Therefore, he was the greatest legend ALL-TIME. And, he will live on as long as WE as a PEOPLE are still ALIVE!!!!! Rest Easy Champ!!!!!!!

RIP Mr. Dick Gregory

Mr. Dick Gregory was much more than a comedian. To simply say he was a comedian would almost water-down his greatness. The greatness in which he used a comedic style to educate those of various generations and philosophies. Mr. Dick Gregory was a man of intelligence, sophistication, and humor. Mr. Gregory was a truth seeker and one whom understood that a man must always investigate the conspiracy as well as facts written in the open to truly get a possible understanding of this cryptic world. Baba Gregory understood the importance of health and taking care of one's body. He understand the importance of a healthy spiritual life, and having a true connection with the one true universal GOD. And, the importance of being aware of our ancestors whom came before we all did. Furthermore, Mr. Gregory understood the importance of mental awareness, and the idea to continue to read and learn throughout the journey of life. Mr. Gregory activism and platform is beyond great, and very ...
"#TheFlagMustGo" Growing up, I have seen the Confederate flag so many times I could not count. As, a Young age I knew the Flag was wrong. Then, as I got older I was about to study the origins as well as the very people who created, represented, and coveted the flag; I truly had my answer: The Flag Must Go. Before, I give my opinion; I am going to give y'all unmistakable and unarguable facts. In 1861, politician William Porcher Miles designed the flag. As I studied the very man who created the "confederacy flag." I wanted to understand his doctrine and beliefs. I wanted to see what he wanted to create, pass-down, and strength who's cau...
