First of all, RIP to the innocent and defenseless victims of the AME Massacre. Also, to all the families of the victims I am truly sorry for the lose of your love ones. Last, to the Pastor of the AME Church, when I saw his bio and history; I was truly hurt for I saw that we was one of the few "good" politicians. He lobbied for body cameras and economic equality.

I don't know about y'all but I have taken this AME Shooting a lot harder than I expected. These last few days have been hell. From anger, depression, and down right hopelessness; I have felt it all. They say the devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy. And unfortunately, I have to admit he temporary steal my joy, killed my hope, and tried to destroy my peace. However, GOD IS GREATER Than anything the devil does.

I have deeply relied on my faith and a unlikely source (YouTube) to get me through this tough time in my life. A tough time where once again, I have had to question myself, my thoughts, and humanity as a whole (race, the system, power structures, and much more).

Before, I say anything else; once again I want to apologize. I know I do this a lot on this page; however, only a REAL MAN admits when he wrong. As your Brother (rather Big Brother through age (my high school Brothers or just as your fellow Peer); I should have been stronger and better than to let this situation crush and defeat me so easy. As your Brother, I should have been posting regularly; trying to get US through a tough situation. However, I have been selfish with my time and effort. Just trying to heal myself and get MYSELF in order. For that I apologize. However, if y'all will accept me; I am back and ready to be your Brother.

This has without a doubt been a tough time for all of US. At lets those who eyes are open and are aware of the hatred of Racism as well as the "system" as a whole.

With that being said, I want to apologize, but I also want to help any of those who are still dealing with the sadness, grief, and stress of the AME Shooting.  I want to be with my Brothers connected and constantly there for each other as well as all of us dealing with this traumatic event.

Signing off, I want to leave you with some websites and ideas to help cope with these event.

1. Write: Rather in your notebook or journal. Write how you feel and write just about life. I promise it helps.

2. Try your hand at poetry. Poetry heals and is a way to express yourself. Checkout my poem "He was Right" in the Brown Brother Archives.  Also, dosomething.org is doing a poetry slam that is about Racism (go to the website for more info).

3. Go to dosomething.org to voice your opinion about Charleston AME Shooting. Or text VOICE to 38383 to voice your support and opinion.

4. I don't know why I did not make this one first (excuse me), Place Your Faith in GOD. GOD is the  most Powerful Answer in universe. PRAY, READ THE BIBLE, AND TRY TO FIND A CHURCH TO ATTEND THIS SUNDAY WITH YOUR FAMILY.

5. Talk to a close Family Member or Friend about how you feel.

6. Cry if you have too. I know this is not the most manly thing to do. But everyone in there life time has cried. Watch LeBron shed tears just by winning  a simple "once a year" trophy. Therefore, something as awful and hateful as this is without a doubt a ok opportunity to express real and raw emotion.

7. Go somewhere and get your mind off the situation. Go play some video games, go to the gym, or to the library; anywhere where you can get away from your surrounding. Or maybe being at home is the best medicine. Go to your room and just relax. YouTube as plenty of Relaxing music.

8. YouTube; this is what help me get over some of my feelings. Go watch some videos: Comedy like TravieWilliams, TravieBased, ADaywithKev ; Music like: J. Cole, or Videos dealing with grief, anger, or sadness.
Keyword: Dealing with grief, Dealing with sadness, or Dealing with anger.

9. Go watch this articles (PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE ARTICLE BEFORE VISITING THESE WEBSITES)  about coping with certain emotions.

http://www.webmd.com/depression/guide/depression-grief

10. Go do something: We all see the Racism, Economical equality, and injustices of the world happening right before our eyes. Therefore, go do something about it. Go research local organizations NAACP, 100blackmen.org, and many others like this for opportunities and ideas to make a difference. (Also, get a Parent to help you on this one).

Here is a extra tip: Before, you leave off this website, lets PRAY.

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you heavy hearted. Some of us feel anger, grief, pain, and down-right hopelessness. Please GOD, help us to not feel lonely and weak for YOU are with Us. Put Your hand upon us and Guide Us. Help us to be instruments of change. Today, we declare victory over satan and any of his dark forces. We Pray that any and every evil thing is defeat. We Pray for Power, Peace, Strength, Love, and YOUR ALL-MIGHTY HAND. Today, we believe with whole hearts that everything in Psalms 91 is true. This and other things we PRAY.
AND LET ALL MY BROTHERS SAY AMEN!

As always, my Brothers; I love y'all and I'm here for you guys. Don't be afraid to comment or hit me up on Twitter: @ Brown Brother Web or at Brown Brother.

Peace, Love, and Protect to You as well as Your Family.

Sincerely Your Brother,

The Brown Brother.

FASFA

I try to explore different topics and ideas to discuss/share on the blog. While going through some papers and looking through some stuff, I remember that I forget to write about this topic. Therefore, today we are going to talk about FASFA. First, you may ask, "What is FASFA." FASFA is federal aid or money for going to college. Although they said "federal aid", it is basically tax that is set aside for students who want to go to college, but need money to help pay for college. FASFA is available to students who have need and are looking to attend college (certificate program, associate degree, or 4 year degree). You need to fill out FASFA every year. FASFA should be filled out by any and every student. It is something that will without a doubt helpful in paying for school. A simple summary is basically this: (1) Wait until you or parents file Income Tax (2) Go to this website- https://fafsa.ed.gov/ (3) Create a account (4) Fill out all of the informat...
Hi, my Brothers; I have not posted anything in a couple of days. I was going to write about something different today. However, I saw this video and I had to share it. The anger and outrage I have can not be calculated because this video is too outrageous to believe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJhIN0gUN30 The video link above will direct you to Youtube. Where it shows a video of four Young Brothers being harassed and thrown out of Walmart. It further shows one of the Young Brothers being arrested. They were not harassed and then arrested for Robbery or Theft; but for "JUST HANGING OUT AND SHOPPING TOO SLOW." Yes you heard me, for going to slow in the store. Now this I can't believe. Maybe something else will come out and show otherwise. However, if this was the Young Brothers only "behavior"; then this arrest and event is truly hard to believe. For anyone who has ever grown up in any city in the world, you know summer are boring. Now, ...
