As y'all probably know, yesterday was the great Tupac birthday. This amazing poet, activist, actor, human being forever change the world. Rather through the music industry or his lyrics pertaining to every day life; Tupac made a permanent impact on society.

Tupac said something in a interview one time that always stuck with me. He said, “I'm not saying I'm gonna change the world, but I guarantee that I will spark the brain that will change the world.”

Dang, that deep. Since last night though, this question or questions has been on my mind.

What was Tupac goal?
What did he want from this next generation?
What was Tupac legacy or idea for US as a People?

Therefore, I am going to try talk about what I see was Tupac's Vision via his lyrics and quotes.

Anybody who knew Tupac personally or were blessed to meet him in person know that Tupac had the heart of the people. There are numerous stories of Tupac stopping in the street and just talking to the people. There are stories of him inviting fans that he did not even know to the club and letting them sit in his section. It was even said that during the uprising (or as some say the riots) in California Tupac got out of his car detail and start signing stolen copies of his own albums (albums that he would not make a dime off of, because they were not purchased).

There, 1. He had the heart of the people.

2. Tupac was not like the Rappers or silence-is-consent cowards out here in society.  (Watch after reading entire article) "Tupac Warns Us About Young Thug"

3. Tupac Spoke Out (He was not silent)
Watch after reading entire article. "Being Black In America Is Hard"

In all of Tupac Lyrics and ideas, one thing is clear Tupac was outspoken. Further, the many things that he spoke out about were racial equality, black love, self-black love, Afro-power, economical equality, and any major issue facing OUR COMMUNITY.

Tupac knew the power that music possess. Even bigger than that Tupac knew that power that WE as a People possess.

4. Tupac wanted US, Black Males to respect OUR WOMEN!

"We all came from a WOMEN, Got Our Name from A WOMEN." - TUPAC

5. Tupac was the definition Freedom, but with the exception of being "caged."

What I mean is Tupac lived as free as possible. So, free that only his earthly death could bring more freedom from his earthly lifestyle. As stated yesterday, Tupac did not fear anything including death. Therefore, to fully understand Tupac's Life and Legacy; you have to know his ideas about his own Life Expectancy.

In other words,
Tupac was so free that not even his early death (which he predicted) never change his bold, brave, and free spirit.

In closing, Tupac was a incredible and one-of-a-kind Man. He had a mind like Malcolm, Flow of Words Like Langston, and Universe Impact like Dr. King.

In my opinion, Tupac is not Hip-Hop Royalty; but the KING of Hip-Hop.
Tupac is the greatest MAN (ALL-TIME) of the Hip-Hop Generation.
Tupac was unarguably one of the greatest and most influential man to walk the face of the earth.
Tupac Legacy is Forever. Tupac is forever. Tupac will live on forever.
For Heroes are Remember, but Legends never die.

RIP Mr. Dick Gregory

Mr. Dick Gregory was much more than a comedian. To simply say he was a comedian would almost water-down his greatness. The greatness in which he used a comedic style to educate those of various generations and philosophies. Mr. Dick Gregory was a man of intelligence, sophistication, and humor. Mr. Gregory was a truth seeker and one whom understood that a man must always investigate the conspiracy as well as facts written in the open to truly get a possible understanding of this cryptic world. Baba Gregory understood the importance of health and taking care of one's body. He understand the importance of a healthy spiritual life, and having a true connection with the one true universal GOD. And, the importance of being aware of our ancestors whom came before we all did. Furthermore, Mr. Gregory understood the importance of mental awareness, and the idea to continue to read and learn throughout the journey of life. Mr. Gregory activism and platform is beyond great, and very ...

FASFA

I try to explore different topics and ideas to discuss/share on the blog. While going through some papers and looking through some stuff, I remember that I forget to write about this topic. Therefore, today we are going to talk about FASFA. First, you may ask, "What is FASFA." FASFA is federal aid or money for going to college. Although they said "federal aid", it is basically tax that is set aside for students who want to go to college, but need money to help pay for college. FASFA is available to students who have need and are looking to attend college (certificate program, associate degree, or 4 year degree). You need to fill out FASFA every year. FASFA should be filled out by any and every student. It is something that will without a doubt helpful in paying for school. A simple summary is basically this: (1) Wait until you or parents file Income Tax (2) Go to this website- https://fafsa.ed.gov/ (3) Create a account (4) Fill out all of the informat...

Short Story of the Fatherless Black Male

I wrote this in the backseat of a car during a road trip. This post may have a couple of grammar errors and a couple of different ideas. But, this is how I truly felt. Let's get into it. I can't sugar-coat it or make it seem insignificant. Point blank, being a young black male without a father sucks. It worse than the stench of rotten eggs, and it feels worse than being hit by a truck at high speed. Being a fatherless male is like having half of your self taken away at birth. Being a father black male means going through life without a round-the-clock mentor, a disciplinary, a friend, a dad. I mean having a mom is a blessing within itself. Most fatherless males usually have a mom. However, if it took two to create, then it is best to take two to mold and build. And, let's be honest, it's some questions no dude feels comfortable or feels right asking their mom. That is just one of the reason why not having a father sucks. At the very least, it is a inconvenien...
