                                             " Re-Focus Yourself, My Brother "

I can't believe it, I look at the calendar on my computer and today is Sept. 13. If you don't understand the significance of this day I will spell it out. We have only three months left in this year. WOW, I can't believe this. I remember like it was just last month I was at my family's house celebrating the NEW YEAR. Now, Thanksgiving is in 2 months away, Christmas in 3 months, and 2016 in 3 1/2 months.

My Brothers, this year has gone by scary fast. However, a lot of stuff has happened. I've graduated, I'm in college, and I've been blessed to complete my book. I'm not just talking about my accomplishment, but about how Good GOD has been in my life. And, I bet if you think about this year; YOU will think about some of the good thinks that has happened to you. Rather that is you have graduated middle school and you are now in high-school. Rather, your in college now. Maybe you have a girlfriend or the total opposite, you just got out of a poisonous relationship. Whatever, it is YOU must learn how to be thankful for life.

Now, going back to this crazy life when we get down to the final months of the year. When you are getting to the core of the "holiday season." Or, now that you are in school and you are getting to the grind of it (Test, Mid-terms, and papers). Whatever it is, you must get RE-Focused.

You must wipe the crust out your eyes, the laziness of summer-time out of your schedule, and stop day-dreaming. It time to start RE-Focusing your mind on the important stuff. School is back, homework will be due, and your time will be more valuable at times than money.

Further, you must Re-Focus yourself and be ready for the obstacles that come your way.

Therefore, as the final months of the year come and you are trying to " Get Right." I going to teach you how to Re-Focus yourself, your life, and your journey to Man-Hood.

1. ALL YOU GET TO DO IS PUT YOUR MIND TO THIS (BLANK)!

Whatever it may be, you must do like Drake said and put your mind to work. When you use your mind and are determined to win, you will accomplish your goals. We as Black Males must use our minds at every turn of the way. If we don't use our minds, we will fall into the traps set for Us.

2. Re-Organize/Re-Gather Yourself

Since the summer, you probably have summer clothes all over the place. You probably have paper all over the place (rather college applications, sales-paper, or just junk). Whatever, you have clean it up. It's September, so start slowly putting shorts and Tanks in a box (to just get it out of sight). Further, if you heard of Spring Cleaning; do something like that. Do some Summer into Fall Cleaning. Around every August or September, I start cleaning my room in a different way. What a different way, you ask?

Yes, I clean my room to Re-Focus myself. I'm a student, so I can't afford to just throw away good stuff. But, I do put it somewhere were I don't have to see it every second.  I put it in a box or a clear container. I do this more for visual relief than anything. I clean my room so my mind is clear.

3. Your Phone-

This summer, you probably got more texts, Instagram likes, and everything else. However, school and work has started back. Therefore, it's time to clean out your phone. When you clean out your phone (delete texts and notifications) you will have a clear mind.

4. Your Schedule-

Maybe the most important tip is Re-Focus your schedule. Like I stated earlier, there will be times during the end of this year were time will be worth more than gold (studying for finals and etc.). Therefore, Re-Focus your schedule. Instead of attending a party or a Friday night game. Stay at home and take the weekend to study. Instead of checking your twitter timeline, go to Khan Academy's YouTube page and study for that math test. Now, I not saying don't have fun (You are only Young for a little while). However, what I saying is be smart with your time. You only have a small amount of it.

5. Re-Focus on GOD

I said that the last tip was important. Well, this one is also extremely important. You can never have enough of GOD. Therefore, Re-Focus yourself on GOD and let HIM guide your life. I know that Sunday means football. But, Sunday was the LORD'S Day long before football was created. Therefore, instead of opting for football over church. Go to CHURCH. Rather Early Morning Service (you can still catch the game afterwards) or late-service. Whichever one you choose, Choose right.

Now also, Re-Focus on GOD not just on Sundays. But, everyday of the week. This world is chaotic and these last three months will be too. Further, these three months are followed by the rest of your Life. Therefore, Re-Focus on GOD. Make every decision with HIM in mind. Read the Bible and Pray Daily, so that you can live a Godly Lifestyle. Please, always know where your source of strength comes from (and I'm not talking about Whey Protein).

6. Re-Focus your priorities-

(1) If females are the main reason that you go to school, then you need to re-focus your priorities.
(2) If money is your only source of happiness, then you need to re-focus your priorities.
(3) If you cared more about the Drake VS. Meek Mill's beef then school, you need re-focus your priorities.
(4) If you woke up checking your twitter first thing in the morning and instead of Thanking GOD for another day (Praying and Meditating) then, you need to RE-FOCUS your PRIORITIES.

Now, I know I went overboard with the list. But, you get my drift. I wanted to show you just how easy you can get distract. You will not be successful in life, IF YOU ARE DISTRACTED.

Again, have fun; but don't do it at the expense of LOSING YOURSELF in the process (of having fun).

7. Re-Focus Yourself-

Now, this one is also a part of the formula. You must Re-Focus Yourself. If you have Re-Focus your time, priorities, and etc. then you are on the road to success. However, the last thing you must do is Re-Focus yourself. You must get up everyday with positivity and appreciation. You must find your inner blackness and your inner man. When you do this, you will unlock the final level. Which is, you will unlock becoming a King. Something that no historian wants to discuss is that we as Black People are all Descendants of Kings & Queens. Therefore, it's time for you to unlock your inner King.

Find your true happiness and find your purpose in life, but most importantly be grateful for the process and progress. The journey to Man-hood is hard, but when you Re-Focus yourself you will find true success.

Success is how many Jordans you have or how tall you are. These things are shallow. Therefore, Re-Focus yourself and get to another level in your life.

RIP Muhammad Ali (The Greatest)

As you have heard the sad news by now, the great Muhammad Ali has passed on. He was laid to rest yesterday. When I say passed on, he has moved on to another journey. To another place to inspire, love, encourage, and communicate without bounds or limits. Mr. Ali is free yet again. I don't have to say what Mr. Ali meant to me. Just from past articles, tweets, and videos, you guys already know what he meant to me. He was a inspiration, hero, mentor, and someone to look up to and listen; learning and hanging on to has every word. Even if those words were 50 years old, they still hold relevance to this very day. I am keeping this post short, because no true words can describe what he meant to me, to all of us. However, I will end this post like this. Heroes are remembered, but legends never die. Therefore, he was the greatest legend ALL-TIME. And, he will live on as long as WE as a PEOPLE are still ALIVE!!!!! Rest Easy Champ!!!!!!!

RIP Mr. Dick Gregory

Mr. Dick Gregory was much more than a comedian. To simply say he was a comedian would almost water-down his greatness. The greatness in which he used a comedic style to educate those of various generations and philosophies. Mr. Dick Gregory was a man of intelligence, sophistication, and humor. Mr. Gregory was a truth seeker and one whom understood that a man must always investigate the conspiracy as well as facts written in the open to truly get a possible understanding of this cryptic world. Baba Gregory understood the importance of health and taking care of one's body. He understand the importance of a healthy spiritual life, and having a true connection with the one true universal GOD. And, the importance of being aware of our ancestors whom came before we all did. Furthermore, Mr. Gregory understood the importance of mental awareness, and the idea to continue to read and learn throughout the journey of life. Mr. Gregory activism and platform is beyond great, and very ...
"#TheFlagMustGo" Growing up, I have seen the Confederate flag so many times I could not count. As, a Young age I knew the Flag was wrong. Then, as I got older I was about to study the origins as well as the very people who created, represented, and coveted the flag; I truly had my answer: The Flag Must Go. Before, I give my opinion; I am going to give y'all unmistakable and unarguable facts. In 1861, politician William Porcher Miles designed the flag. As I studied the very man who created the "confederacy flag." I wanted to understand his doctrine and beliefs. I wanted to see what he wanted to create, pass-down, and strength who's cau...
